Supria Karmakar established Supria’s Designs, Creatively providing professional and personal wellness services, after a long and meaningful career in the social and health service sectors.

Mission Statement:

Supria’s Designs provides unique, creative and experiential wellness programs for your work place environment.  Services are facilitated to include the use of art, creativity and self-reflection to promote enhanced teamwork and individual wellness.

About Supria - Facilitator and Artist:

Supria has been a social worker and community developer for 16 years, graduating from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.  She has facilitated numerous community program meetings, events, conferences and workshops pertaining to the human service and health sectors for both rural and urban settings.  Her repertoire of facilitation skills, tools and processes include “Open Space Technology”, “Basic Conversation Methods”, “Popular Education Strategies” and other experiential creative processes.  She values the energy that comes from group processes and believes that we are enriched while immersed in the creative processes both in group and individual settings.

Specifically, Supria has discovered that by pulling together her passion for the arts and creativity with her facilitation processes provides an environment for great transformation and awareness to the participants.  She develops into all of her programs the use of art, creativity and play and by doing so she encourages an opportunity for clients to discover more about themselves, their program, team and group.  Where as an outcome, balance and wellness can be enhanced.

Creativity and art as a modality can assist with team building, addressing issues, by assisting groups to move from point A to point B, as it can encourage those more non verbal assets to be be recognized.

The experiential model is also key as it is based on the premise that experience precedes learning and that the learning, or meaning can be derived from the learner themselves creating self-sustaining awareness, reflection and change.
